5 Star Award for Armadale Castle

Posted on: 1st November 2018

We’re delighted to reveal that Armadale Castle, Gardens & Museum of the Isles has been awarded a coveted 5 Star Visitor Attraction rating for the 6th year running. The Visit Scotland award recognises exceptional customer experience and is comprehensively assessed each year by independent advisors. Attractions are rated across a number of areas including hospitality, catering and core experience. Armadale Castle is one of just five visitor attractions in Skye & Lochalsh to achieve the award, sharing the accolade with Dunvegan Castle, Eilean Donan Castle, Skyeskyns and Isle of Raasay Distillery.

Sue Geale, Museum Manager and member of the management committee at Armadale Castle, commented: ‘We are very proud to have been awarded this accolade again this year. We are committed to providing an exceptionally high quality of customer service to all our visitors, and the award is testament to the hard work and dedication of our talented team. We’ve enjoyed a very successful year so far, with increases in both individual and group visits, and look forward welcoming more visitors in the coming month.’

The award follows our recent announcement of an extended visitor season. Armadale Castle, Gardens & Museum will remain open until end November 2018 (Wednesday – Sunday) and re-open on 1 March 2019.  The acclaimed new café, Gasta at Armadale Castle, is also remaining open and will be offering evening meals and bar on Friday, Saturday and Sunday until the New Year.
