We are sorry to announce the death of Alan Ranald Macdonald of Killearnan, Inverness-shire, on 22 April.

Alan was the founder President of the Clan Donald Society of the Highlands and Islands, which has had close links with Armadale for many years. He was the grandson of Rev A.J. Macdonald, one of the authors of the renowned three-volume Clan Donald history. We are glad that he was able to join us at Armadale for some of our Friends AGMs in the past.

Our thoughts are with his friends, family and the congregation of Killearnan Church as they mark his passing.
