Retail Manager (Full time, Permanent – Part time considered) – £30,000 per annum

Armadale Castle are recruiting for a retail manager to further develop our exceptional retail experience. The post-holder will effectively manage the day-to-day visitor ticketing and retail shop for the Castle, Gardens and Museum.

This position is year round and permanent though we would consider part-time and flexible working options. We are particularly keen to support a motivated young person in this role.

The Gatehouse shop and ticket office are the friendly front door of Armadale Castle and Clan Donald. With our main visitor season from April-October, we welcome thousands of visitors from our local community and UK and worldwide customer base.

Gardener (Full-time, Permanent) – £26,000 per annum 

We have an exciting opportunity for a superstar gardener to help us maintain and develop our gardens. The successful applicant will work as part of our team providing practical maintenance of the garden and care of trees, shrubs, lawns and herbaceous borders. The post-holder should have knowledge and experience of garden tools and equipment and their maintenance, and work within the Health and Safety processes of the garden and estate.

2024 Seasonal Staff

We have full- and part- time opportunities for seasonal staff this year. In joining the team at Armadale you will be a key part of welcoming our visitors, ensuring they have a great experience and being on hand to provide friendly assistance. Each of these roles offers £13 per hour + end of season bonus.

Visitor Host – based in our Ticket Office and Gift Shop you will be the first point of contact for many of our visitors. You will assist with sales of tickets and retail merchandise, and providing information about our site and the local area.
