Christmas festivities including xmas markets, live music, gin tasting, Santa’s grotto and much more will be taking place in south Skye on Saturday 26 November. Armadale Castle, Gardens & Museum of the Isles and local businesses have joined forces to bring a day of festive fun across the area, including a Christmas Market at Armadale Castle, special festive offers at local shops, and even a visit from Santa at the Calmac Ferry Terminal.

The annual Armadale Castle Christmas Market is taking place in the Stables building and will include stalls offering local Highland crafts, floral displays, cards, festive decorations and food and drink as well as a live choir at 11am to get shoppers in the festive spirit. The Armadale Castle gift shop which is stocked with some excellent gifts for Christmas will also be open with special offers on and will be selling affordable, local venison. The cosy Armadale Castle Cabins have a 3 for 2 nights offer available for those looking to relax for a long weekend.

Festivities continue around Armadale Pier, where shoppers can enjoy discounts and festive treats at the Isle of Skye Leather Co, Ragamuffin, Skyelark and Under the Rowan. Don’t miss out on visiting Santa’s grotto between 12 – 2pm and live music at the Calmac Ferry Terminal too. Visit Armadale Stores en route to the castle for mulled wine, sweets, and a Christmas hamper raffle.

Head north of Armadale Castle to An Crùbh for gin tasting, a grand hamper raffle, and a range of stalls offering local arts and crafts. Don’t miss out on visiting Floraidh Skye, where they will be offering a range of clothing, accessories, and gifts.
