Update 24.3.20: The gardens are now also closed with immediate effect, following new government guidance. Find out how to contact us while our site is closed.

The Museum,  ticket office, bistro and holiday accommodation are now closed until further notice. This is in order to help protect the health of our visitors, staff and community, in line with government guidance. We are monitoring the Coronavirus situation closely and will continue to post updates on social media and our website.

A personal message from Sir Ian Macdonald of Sleat, Chair, Clan Donald Lands Trust at Armadale Castle

This is a most difficult and worrying time. My generation has not experienced anything like it before.

Communities on Sleat are important and never more so than now. We are part of that community and are mindful that we should play our part to make lives as normal as possible.

We have wonderful staff, led by Sue Geale and the Management Committee. Please support them by acknowledging that they are doing the best they can in a fast changing situation.

I have such admiration for all who work for us and pray for their safety and well being.

With much love to all who read this page.

Ian Macdonald of Sleat
