Stables Café
The Stables Building is set in a beautiful location on the Isle of Skye. It’s the perfect spot to relax and enjoy a warm, family-friendly atmosphere.
Escape the crowds and queues of Skye and relax in a historic location with stunning views across mainland Scotland. Situated in the Sleat peninsula, known as the ‘Garden of Skye,’ our Stables café supports a local charity and young people from the area. In addition to enjoying award-winning gardens and a museum, there’s plenty to do for families, including a woodland play park. The surrounding area is home to amazing flora and fauna, with sightings of whales, dolphins, porpoises, and otters throughout the summer. The café is also a Tripadvisor Travellers’ Choice Awards Winner for 2024, rated in the top 10% of visitor attractions worldwide.
The Stables Café will reopen in March for the 2026 season. Look out for further updates on our website and socials.

Storm Amy left its mark on Armadale Gardens, and we’ll be staying closed for the rest of the season while essential tree work takes place. 🌿
Though we’ve lost some beautiful trees and have much work ahead, we’re looking forward to renewal, replanting, and the next chapter of Armadale Gardens.

Though the castle looks medieval the castle is surprisingly new, built in the 19th century.
