Join us for the launch Clan Donald Gaelic Arts Week in the Museum and gardens. Have a go at playing the clarsach (Scottish harp), chanter or whistle – we’ll have expert tutors on hand to show you how. Enjoy informal performances by tutors and by local young people. Why not join in? You are welcome to bring your own instrument to play.
We’ll also have Gaelic arts-themed craft activities, and games to play outside. In the museum, find out more about Gaelic arts in our special display of musical artefacts and memorabilia from the archives.
The event is family-friendly but there will be something for everyone, so you are welcome whatever your age.
Clan Donald Gaelic Arts Week, Seachdain nan Ealan Gàidhlig aig Clann Dòmhnaill, is supported by Event Scotland’s Clan Event Fund. We would also like to thank the following tutors for taking part: Mary Strachan (clarsach), Niall Stewart (chanter), Dougie Pincock (whistle).
