We are delighted to be taking part in the 2020 Scottish Tree Festival, organised by Discover Scottish Gardens.
Armadale Castle Gardens has a magnificent tree collection which dates from the early 19th century. In our 40 acre woodland garden you can marvel at giants such as the Giant Redwood and Silver Fir; enjoy the autumn colours of acers and red oak; and wander around the Victorian Arboretum admiring specimen trees such as the Monkey Puzzle and Noble Fir.
All through the festival you can pick up a fun family trail to discover some of our intriguing and unusual trees. You can also download the trail from this page (right).
On Thursday 15 October (11am – 2pm) we will be holding a ‘Talk Trees’ session when you can meet our Gardens Consultant Andrew Peters and ask questions. Drop in any time between 11 and 2 and Andrew will be happy to answer questions. (Normal entrance charges apply.)
Due to Covid-19 restrictions we won’t be running tree tours this year, but will be launching an online tree tour on our social media channels in mid-October.
Check our Plan Your Visit pages for opening days and times.
