An important update on our opening times.
Armadale Castle, Gardens & Museum of the Isles is now officially closed for the season. We look forward to seeing you when we re-open in Spring 2021. We have closed earlier than originally planned this year due to the Covid-19 situation.
We know that our gardens, woodlands and playpark are an important resource for our local community. During the closed months, therefore, you are welcome to walk in the gardens and play in the playpark during daylight hours at your own risk. In return we ask for a donation towards gardens upkeep (donations box at gate) or alternatively, please support us as a Friend of Armadale.
We may close the gardens completely at short notice due to changes in Covid-19 rules or weather conditions. Please check our social media before you travel.
If you visit the gardens please maintain social distancing at all times. The playpark is currently for under 12s only.
Please note that we do not have visitor-facing staff on duty at this time and the gardens team will be undertaking essential maintenance tasks which may involve heavy machinery.
During the winter months there is also a risk of severe weather including snow and ice. Please heed any health & safety warnings at the garden entrance. During high winds we may close the gardens completely.
Thank you for your cooperation.
