Trees for the Future: Tour and tree planting

Monday 11 October 2021, 11.00am - 1.00pm

Find out how we are working to protect some of the world’s most endangered species as we plant a new generation of trees at Armadale.

Join our Gardens Consultant and tree expert Andrew Peters on a tour of some of the threatened conifers that we have planted in our gardens recently as part of our ‘Trees for the Future’ initiative, a collaboration with the International Conifer Conservation Programme (ICCP) at the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh. Go behind the scenes to visit the nursery, see some of the endangered trees we have already planted and see one of the trees being planted.

The event is free with normal entrance ticket but numbers will be limited. To reserve a place please email marketing@armadalecastle.com with the subject Tree Tour Booking. You can also turn up on the day and join the tour if there is space.

Visit our Support page to find out how you can adopt one of these very special trees. Watch a video of Andrew in conversation with Martin Gardner of the ICCP as they planted a tree at Armadale  together earlier this year.

The event is part of the Discover Scottish Gardens Scottish Tree Festival.
