Volunteer day with Sleat Community Trust

Sunday 29 August 2021, 10.00am - 2.00pm

Have fun and help tackle invasive plants at this volunteering day for all the family.

Sleat Community Trust Environmental Group invite you to a fun activity for all ages in the grounds of Armadale Castle.

At this volunteering day you will:

  • Learn about invasive plants and how they can be controlled
  • Help Armadale Castle’s garden team tackle the spread of Gunnera or ‘Giant Rhubarb’

Please email Sleat Community Trust Environmental Group in advance with the numbers of adults / children in your party: environment@sleat.org.uk.

Meet Armadale Castle car park 10am. Please bring a spade and gloves, and a pruning knife if you have one. Light refreshments will be provided. You are welcome to bring a picnic lunch to enjoy in the gardens.

We had a great turn-out at the first volunteering day on 1 August. Thank you to everyone who came and we hope to see you again on 29 August.
